Made for the early and late Boxer gear boxes
The early gear boxes have a (17.42 mm wide) pinion outer bearing race, the bridge in the casings can flex and crack.
The later gear boxes inc 16v have a wider bridge with a wider bearing (22.10 mm wide) to address this, however this bearing outer race has a very deep under cut with no radius that can crack and fail.
We offer a upgraded outer race for both types, made with a radius
We advise using the later gear box casings with the wider set up for high power applications
Both outer race types use the same taper roller bearing, we can also supply this
(The casing Requires a radius added for this bearing to be fitted)
